About our Practice

Many practices say it, but for KC Smile Doc it's true – our patients are our number one priority.  Providing a safe and comfortable environment which helps you relax when visiting our practice is something we are proud to do.  Offering comprehensive dental care and addressing both your dental health and the appearance of your smile is important to us.

KC Smile Doc is a warm, inviting and comfortable office in Kansas City, and we know what we offer is more than bells and whistles. With that being said it doesn't mean that we don't offer relaxing amenities.  During your appointment we provide DVD players, virtual glasses which enable you to watch movies during your visit, headphones for listening to relaxing music during your procedure and massage chairs that can reduce and ease anxiety – it's almost like a visit to your favorite spa.  We also offer Sedation Dentistry to those patients with dental anxiety.  Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is an excellent option for those who need help with relaxation, but don't want to be "out of it."  This allows a patient to relax without being heavily sedated.

Dr. Burch has been making people smile for over 25 years – that's a lot of smiles.  He delivers quality cosmetic and restorative dentistry with integrity.  You can trust him to take care of you.  Dr. Burch's advanced dental skills, artistic vision and the use of high quality restorations allow him to consistently produce superior cosmetic results which his patients love.

His sound business practices and outstanding clinical skills, plus his chair-side manner, have earned him an excellent reputation in the Greater Kansas City Area.  He is committed to each and every one of his patients while always ensuring they are comfortable and anxiety-free during their visit.

Dr. Burch receives the greatest joy from seeing how dentistry has changed the lives of his patients.  He has seen the impact of porcelain veneers and full mouth restorations which can change lives by improving self-esteem and confidence in individuals one-by-one.

Education

Dr. Burch earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas, and in 1978 he graduated from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry.  Presently, Dr. Burch is committed to continuing his dental education to keep abreast of the latest innovations and advancements in cosmetic dentistry. Throughout the year he attends many continuing education seminars so he is always able to offer his patients the finest, most effective dental treatments available.

Meet Our Friendly Staff

You will find that we have the friendliest staff in the Kansas City area.  When you visit Dr. Burch's office you will be greeted by the following staff members:

Julie Buehler Julie is our Office Manager.  She has over twenty years of experience in the dental industry and has worked her entire career with Dr. Burch.  She's described by patients as that person who will go the extra mile to help.  She's married with two grown daughters in college.  When you walk in the office and encounter a very kind demeanor you’ll know its Julie.
Suzanne Webster Suzanne is our Dental Hygienist.  She's been in the industry for five years, spending the last two years with Dr. Burch.  Suzanne is the warm-hearted hygienist that will guide you through the procedures, educate you and enjoy a conversation with you during your appointment.  Suzanne is married with no children of her own, but gives back as a foster parent.
Lilian Cortez Lilian works as our Dental Assistant.  She's been in the industry for twenty-four years and has been with Dr. Burch since the end of 2009.  Lilian is the one who will help you by explaining procedures, easing any anxieties you may have and accommodating you during procedures.  She is also bilingual, helping patients who speak Spanish.  You'll find her to be friendly and accommodating.  When Lilian is not in the office you will find her spending time with her son.
Beka Bronson Beka Bronson works as our Front Office Assistant as well as a Dental Assistant.  She's been in the industry for ten years and has been with Dr. Burch since the end of 2010.

We do have payment options and financing available that fit individual lifestyles and preferences.  It’s important to realize that restorative and cosmetic enhancements to your smile are an investment that can pay off in both your professional and personal life.  If you need help paying for your dental services we have some options for you:

Insurance -

We work with many insurance companies, including Delta Dental, Cigna and Guardian and are happy to submit the necessary claim forms.  Please understand that you are responsible for any portion the insurance does not pay.
